I was feeling somewhat minimalist and still wanted to work more with the Pentax 50mm when I was searching out subjects tonight. Our bathroom is quite bright and happens to be all white too, so when I was looking at the top of the floor-standing cabinet, the glass jar and hair pins against the white seemed ideal.

I kept the lens wide open and moved to the lens’s minimum focal distance at the plane of the cabinet top for the above image.

The images below were also shot at f1.4, with the exception of the image from the higher angle.  That was ISO 1600 @ 1/100 and f4.0
