It’s been a while since I’ve shot a portrait, and without any willing subjects, I turned to myself. While I never seem to pose well for self portraits, I was really focusing on the ratio of ambiant and flash lighting in a confined setting. Our kitchen is approximately a 10’x10′ square – I wanted to light the subject (me) without throwing light all over the background too.

Obviously, I don’t take myself too seriously
