The sun was setting and I was driving past a farm road, so I decided to pull down to see what opportunities there were for making images. While there wasn’t much of interest for landscapes, there were a few patches of field that had turned to weeds. Backlit and blowing in the developing wind, these patches took on more somber tones.
I had been shooting the last couple of days with the Pentax Super Takumar 50mm, but I switched back to the Canon 50mm STM 1.8 just in case I needed to focus to infinity. As this image shows, most of my shots ended up much tighter and more focused on detail.
